Intelliglow Solutions was contracted to deliver a total ICT and security installation for Base 2 of the landmark Colombo Port City development, one of Sri Lanka’s most strategically significant infrastructure projects. The scope covered structured data cabling, comprehensive CCTV surveillance, and electronic door access control systems for a large-scale commercial facility within the Port City precinct.
Client Requirements / Challenges
Working within an active, large-scale construction environment demanded strict coordination with multiple stakeholders, including the primary contractor China Harbor Engineering Company. Adherence to project timelines, stringent safety protocols, and precise cable management within a dense construction zone were critical requirements. The security systems required seamless integration to support the high-security demands of a national landmark development.
Solution Delivered
Intelliglow Solutions deployed a structured cabling infrastructure designed for scalability within the Port City environment. A multi-zone CCTV system was installed covering all entry points, corridors, and key operational areas with centralized recording and monitoring capabilities. The door access control system was configured with hierarchical authorization levels appropriate for a high-security commercial precinct, ensuring controlled access at all designated zones.
Project Outcomes
Post-implementation, Celogen Lanka experienced a measurable improvement in network performance and building operational efficiency. Energy consumption monitoring through the BMS enabled the client to identify and act on cost-saving opportunities. The project was completed within budget and has demonstrated excellent system stability since handover.
